Preparing for PA School Interviews

Faith is a PA student at Yale School of Medicine. She grew up in Houston, TX and graduated with University Honors from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Medicine and Society. During her undergraduate career, Faith served as a Junior Fellow with the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, as well as the Finance Branch Vice President and Accounting Director for the UH Delta Omega Chi Medical Service Society. She also worked with patients as an EMT and a PCT at MD Anderson Cancer Center, volunteered as a research assistant at UH, and was an avid volunteer in her community. As a PA student, Faith serves as the Connecticut PA Foundation Chair for her cohort and volunteers at the HAVEN Free Clinic in the Lab Department. Her research interests include clinical research within medical dermatology. Faith hopes to pursue a career in a surgical subspecialty or dermatology after graduating from YSM.

Sarah is an active physician assistant at Mayo Clinic in the field of radiation oncology. She is a committed advisor to rising physician assistant students of all backgrounds, experiences, and interests. She is punctual, encouraging, thoughtful, and eager to assist those dedicated to becoming PAs! She then obtained an MS in Anatomical Sciences at the University of South Florida while getting experience as a CNA and MA in primary care and specialty vein care. She also spent time in Peru on a medical mission trip, assisting indigenous populations with primary and urgent complaints. She has experience researching and applying to multiple PA programs at a time and was part of the testing population for the now widely used CASPer program in the PA application system. As a PA student at the University of Florida, she volunteered for the Equal Access Clinic Network, providing free medical care to the local Gainesville community. She also presented her undergraduate research in course lectures and volunteered at pre-PA meetings.
