Aanika's fascination with the medical field began during her undergraduate years when she was part of a breast cancer research lab for four years. Adam holds a BA in Politics (Pomona College) and is a first-year student at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is heavily involved in the American Student Dental Association and the Harvard dental admission process. He is interested in leveraging his ASDA connections and a non-traditional path to dentistry to help pre-dents at Inspira. Besides Harvard, Adam was also accepted by UPenn, UCLA, and UCSF with merit scholarships.
During his gap year, Adam worked full-time as a Jesse M. Unruh Fellow for the California State Assembly to analyze over 50 pieces of legislation that would expand healthcare access, provide COVID-19 relief, and broaden scopes of practice for medical and dental professionals in California. Currently, he is the legislative liaison and advocacy chair for ASDA at the Harvard Chapter and in District 1 (New England).
Adam is interested in working with all kinds of pre-dents, especially non-STEM majors with unique paths to dentistry and STEM majors struggling to find ways to distinguish themselves. During her gap year, she was the Hiring Manager for ScribeAmerica for seven varying medical specialties and managed and mentored 45 employees, most of whom were pre-med or pre-PA. As a pediatric neurosurgery PA transitioning to urology PA, she held several leadership roles in surgical safety research and child advocacy.

He graduated in three years from Pitt and went straight to medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During his first year there, he joined multiple research labs focusing on large-data analysis and machine learning.
He also co-founded Retina Technologies Inc., a company aimed to disrupt vision care by leveraging virtual reality, retinal imaging, and machine learning onto a portable platform to provide affordable, accessible, and accurate vision screening across the country. He served as the CTO of the company, spearheading four clinical trials, submitting three provisional patents and one non-provisional PCT patent, and built both the hardware and software from the ground up. Dr. Mellacheruvu initially began his college career at the University of Washington with dreams of playing competitive cricket. However, a sports injury sustained during a study abroad trip in Oxford unexpectedly ignited his passion for medicine. Dr. Mellacheruvu graduated from the UW Honors College with a degree in biochemistry, setting the stage for his future in the medical field.
Choosing to stay close to home, Dr. Mellacheruvucompleted his medical education at Washington State University. During his clinical rotations, he developed a deep interest in cardiology, which would shape his future career aspirations.
Throughout medical school, Dr. Mellacheruvu demonstrated his commitment to advocacy and research. He became involved with national advocacy through the American College of Physicians, working to promote the interests of internal medicine physicians and their patients. Dr. Chaturvedi graduated Magna Cum Laude and with distinction from Duke University, with a major in neuroscience and minors in biology and chemistry. After graduating, he spent a gap year at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD, as an NIH IRTA fellow, investigating the roles of vasopressin (AVP) and oxytocin (OXT) in the central nervous system using mouse models.
Dr. Chaturvedi then completed his MD at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. In addition to his impressive academic and research achievements, Dr. Chaturvedi has a strong commitment to mentoring and guiding aspiring medical professionals. Dr. Kessler attended Johns Hopkins University for her undergraduate studies in pre-med and French. While at Johns Hopkins, she led the JHU Medical Ethics Discussion Panel and worked in a neurology and neurosurgery research lab. She then attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC and graduated with distinction in research. While at Mount Sinai, Dr. Kessler was the recipient of numerous awards, including a merit-based tuition scholarship for all four years of medical school.
While in medical school, Dr. Kessler founded the Special Forces Neurosurgery Collaborative with neurosurgeons from Mount Sinai, Cleveland Clinic, and the leadership of the US Green Beret Foundation, which is an organization that spearheads neurosurgery research initiatives geared towards addressing the unique healthcare needs of America's Special Forces warriors. Dr. Kessler has given over a dozen lectures on her research at national conferences and is currently a medical editor and reviewer for the Journal of Special Operations Medicine and MyHealthTeams, LLC. She was previously a reviewer for the World Neurosurgery journal and has authored five textbook chapters in major neurosurgical textbooks.

Saisree also served as a senior interviewer on the admissions team at Rice.
In medical school, Dr. Ravi continued her interest in mentorship by being involved in the Big Sibling program, guiding incoming MS1 students through their first year of medical school, and also serving as a Research Liaison for students interested in neurology and neurosurgery. Dr. Llewellyn graduated from Bringham Young University, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in sociology, and was a competitive swimmer at a Division 1 school. After his successful swimming career, Dr. Llewellyn coached a high school swimming team to two state championships before moving to Washington, D.C., to work at the National Cancer Institute on an HIV vaccine. This experience sparked his interest in medical research and its potential to impact public health, leading him to join the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai MSTP, where he discovered his passion for medicine while living in NYC.
During his PhD, Dr. Llewellyn volunteered extensively at Icahn's student-run primary care clinic, which resonated with his research focus on the effects of diet on the gut microbiota and overall health. This experience led him to pursue a career in family medicine, where he witnessed firsthand the direct impact of diet on health and the importance of primary care and prevention for improved health outcomes.
Dr. Llewellyn completed his residency at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency, where he focused on research in primary care and practice transformations. As the chief resident in quality improvement and research, he led three practice transformation projects, demonstrating his leadership skills and commitment to improving healthcare delivery. At Oak Street Health, he is in their Clinical Fellowship for Value-Based Care Leadership, part of which is obtaining an MBA from Kellogg School of Management. Currently, as a primary care clinician, he is working on two population health projects aimed at reducing heart failure readmissions and improving 2S LGBTQIA+ care.

At Yale, she held various leadership positions in the Medical Student Council, served as the president of multiple interest groups, served on the Women in IR Committee for her specialty's society, and published more than 30 papers. She then completed a General Surgery internship year at UCSF before pursuing her residency.
