After graduating, he spent a gap year at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD, as an NIH IRTA fellow, investigating the roles of vasopressin (AVP) and oxytocin (OXT) in the central nervous system using mouse models.

Initially aspiring to become an equine veterinarian, a serendipitous lab job altered her career trajectory, sparking a passion for research that has defined her professional journey.
During veterinary school, she completed a biomedical research fellowship at Stanford University, focusing on radiation treatment of metastatic breast cancer. Her undergraduate and veterinary school years in Colorado involved work at one of NASA's specialized centers, studying the long-term effects of space irradiation on cancer development. In her final year of veterinary school, she received a Center for Companion Animal Studies grant to evaluate the efficacy of radiation therapy for treating soft tissue sarcomas in canine patients.

While at Johns Hopkins, she led the JHU Medical Ethics Discussion Panel and worked in a neurology and neurosurgery research lab. She then attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC and graduated with distinction in research. While at Mount Sinai, Dr. Kessler was the recipient of numerous awards, including a merit-based tuition scholarship for all four years of medical school.
While in medical school, Dr. Kessler founded the Special Forces Neurosurgery Collaborative with neurosurgeons from Mount Sinai, Cleveland Clinic, and the leadership of the US Green Beret Foundation, which is an organization that spearheads neurosurgery research initiatives geared towards addressing the unique healthcare needs of America's Special Forces warriors. Dr. Kessler has given over a dozen lectures on her research at national conferences and is currently a medical editor and reviewer for the Journal of Special Operations Medicine and MyHealthTeams, LLC. Dr. Kuo was born in Hong Kong and is half-Chinese, and half-Australian. She is passionate about interior design and is an avid home chef with dreams of being the next Masterchef!
While at vet school, Dr. Kuo held positions as a veterinary school radiology technician and was an on-campus pharmaceuticals representative for Fort Dodge and Boehringer-Ingelheim. She also pursued a conservation externship in South Africa and externed at various small animal private practices and specialty clinics throughout the Midwest. Dr. Kuo was also an active member of the veterinary professional fraternity, Omega Tau Sigma.
Dr. Kuo began her career as a veterinarian at a large, full-service walk-in hospital in downtown Chicago. After two years as an associate veterinarian, Dr. Kuo became the medical director, where she built out a veterinarian training program with a focus on new-graduate mentorship. Her leadership role gave her an understanding of the pitfalls and successes of operating a modern animal hospital in an urban setting.
Dr. Kuo co-founded a veterinary management company called GoodVets, where she acted as the Chief Medical Officer. The company challenged the practice “norm” and introduced a tech-centered business with a people-centric approach to the leadership team. There she established the core process and procedures of a successful franchise model that built the basis for repeatable action that the company is still successfully thriving on.

Dr. Harshbarger attended Brown University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She then spent two years working full-time in clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital before attending medical school at the Duke University School of Medicine. While at Duke, she earned her MD and spent two years pursuing full-time studies at the Duke Fuqua School of Business, where she achieved Dean's List each semester to earn an MBA with a certificate in Health Sector Management and a concentration in Financial Statement Analysis. She graduated as the first doctor in her family and went on to match at her number one choice residency in Emergency Medicine at Harvard, where she now works as a senior resident physician in the Emergency Room.

Dr. Llewellyn loves to bake and cook and often develops his own recipes. Pies are his favorite baked goods to eat and make. As a cis white gay man, Dr. Llewellyn brings an interesting perspective to his practice and mentorship.
Dr. Llewellyn graduated from Bringham Young University, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in sociology, and was a competitive swimmer at a Division 1 school. After his successful swimming career, Dr. Llewellyn coached a high school swimming team to two state championships before moving to Washington, D.C., to work at the National Cancer Institute on an HIV vaccine. This experience sparked his interest in medical research and its potential to impact public health, leading him to join the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai MSTP, where he discovered his passion for medicine while living in NYC.
During his PhD, Dr. Llewellyn volunteered extensively at Icahn's student-run primary care clinic, which resonated with his research focus on the effects of diet on the gut microbiota and overall health. This experience led him to pursue a career in family medicine, where he witnessed firsthand the direct impact of diet on health and the importance of primary care and prevention for improved health outcomes.
Dr. Llewellyn completed his residency at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency, where he focused on research in primary care and practice transformations. As the chief resident in quality improvement and research, he led three practice transformation projects, demonstrating his leadership skills and commitment to improving healthcare delivery. At Oak Street Health, he is in their Clinical Fellowship for Value-Based Care Leadership, part of which is obtaining an MBA from Kellogg School of Management. Currently, as a primary care clinician, he is working on two population health projects aimed at reducing heart failure readmissions and improving 2S LGBTQIA+ care.

Dr. Warner learned how to scuba dive in 2019! Since then, she's explored the seas of Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Turks and Caicos. Her favorite dive was through a field of moon jellyfish. In her opinion, scuba diving is the closest feeling to flying there is.
Dr. Warner graduated from Johns Hopkins with an MD and MPH in epidemiology/biostatistics before becoming a resident physician at the Johns Hopkins Osler Internal Medicine Training Program. Dr. Warner has sat on the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine admissions committee and has years of experience as a pre-medical advisor working with students who have gone on to top medical schools. Dr. Warner is currently a Hematology/Oncology fellow at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Warner obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, where her fascination with the medical field flourished. She worked in a breast cancer research lab for four years, studying the protein interactions of triple-negative breast cancer. Dr. Sadeghian (Ryan) possesses a unique background as a Physician Informatician, boasting an MD degree from St. George’s University's School of Medicine, a Physician Executive MBA from Auburn University, and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Informatics and Clinical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Washington, respectively. He also completed his pediatric residency at the Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama. As the first and sole physician in North America to hold dual fellowship training in both Biomedical and Clinical Informatics, Ryan stands at the forefront of medical education and technology.
Ryan thrives in his role as a mentor, taking a personalized approach to each student's career path, considering their life stage, career aspirations, strengths, and weaknesses. His diverse background as a physician executive and his vast knowledge in medicine, business, and technology equips him to mentor over 60 students annually at various educational levels.

Holding esteemed positions such as Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Rutgers University and Clinical Student Academic Advisor at St. George’s University, he has been instrumental in shaping the future of countless medical professionals.
