During college, Brandon served as a combat medic in the Army Reserve. Since graduating, Brandon has gained extensive clinical experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings. He currently works at Bellevue Hospital's Neurologic ICU as an employee of New York University and has previously worked at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian University's Neuro ICU. 

His educational journey began at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, where he earned his undergraduate degree in kinesiology/sports medicine. Afterward, he graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Physician Assistant program. Additionally, Brandon has experience in private practice Psychiatry, where he played a key role in building and running a clinic for Interventional Mental Health involving IV ketamine, TMS, and stellate ganglion blocks.

Brandon’s exceptional teaching abilities and dedication to mentoring have been recognized with the Army Achievement Medal, which he received while still a combat medic, and the Army Commendation Medal, which he received for his work as an officer in mentoring and assisting combat medics with getting into PA school. Brian's journey began at Louisiana State University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. As a four-year letterman of the men's basketball team, he received numerous accolades, including the prestigious LSU Athletic Department Wally Pontiff Award, given to upperclassmen who maintain the highest GPA among all student-athletes. These experiences taught him the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and overcoming adversity—valuable lessons he carries forward in his mentorship roles.

Even while pursuing his medical education, Brian found ways to further his experience as a teacher, advisor, and mentor to students outside of medicine. After graduating from LSU, he took a position teaching math at The Dunham School, where he had previously graduated as valedictorian. This opportunity allowed him to cultivate his teaching style and develop a heart for encouraging and motivating students, especially those facing difficult circumstances.

Brian's passion for advising students extended to the college admissions process. He utilized his spare time to teach at a local high school and learned from his mother, who was the college counselor there. Her wealth of knowledge, combined with Brian's own experiences, allowed him to hone his skills as a mentor, guiding students through the intricate application journey.

After graduating from the LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans School of Medicine and completing a residency in internal medicine, Brian continued to embrace his love for teaching, encouraging, and advising medical students and residents throughout his career as a hospitalist. Eventually, he founded his own independent medical consulting LLC, further solidifying his commitment to mentorship.

Bryson's journey to medical school began in the Bay Area, where he grew up, before attending San Diego State University for his undergraduate education. As a biology major, he gained hands-on experience by volunteering at a major San Diego hospital in various critical care units. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bryson played a role in converting portions of the trauma and cardiac ICUs into COVID units, supporting the nurses caring for critically ill COVID patients until he moved back home after finishing his undergraduate studies.

While at Stanford, Bryson implemented admissions prep into the post-bacc program, including workshops demystifying the application process, interview skills, and mock interviews for both traditional and MMI interview formats.

Bryson's commitment to supporting aspiring medical students and addressing healthcare disparities continued into his medical school journey. As part of a student organization at UC Berkeley - UCSF, he was involved in helping students who are underrepresented in medicine get into medical school. During her undergraduate studies, Caitlin acted as president of the UNC-CH Rotaract Club and was inducted into the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. After earning her degree, Caitlin began volunteering at Carolina Tiger Rescue, a commitment she held for nearly five years while working for IBM. She also was a veterinary assistant, helping her gain fundamental knowledge and experience for vet school. 

During vet school, Caitlin was a board member of NC State’s Turtle Rescue Team and was involved in the Wildlife, Avian, Aquatic, and Zoological Medicine (WAAZM) Club and Veterinary Business Management Association.

Carrie's educational journey began with her graduating magna cum laude with a BS in biochemistry. She then studied at the University of Texas School of Dentistry with a background in orthodontic research. This background, combined with her experiences as a former collegiate soccer player, has equipped her with exceptional work ethic, time management skills, and effective leadership abilities, which she leverages to guide candidates through the demanding process of preparing for dental school.

During her undergraduate years, Carrie made significant contributions to the field of dentistry through her involvement in orthodontic research. Catherine attended a top private school for high school in the Kansas City area and was a double letterman, captain of the Pom Squad, and a nationally recognized Speech and Debate champion.  She attended the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma on merit and grade-based scholarships. During her time in undergrad, she completed her Bachelor of Biology (pre-med) with minors in chemistry and creative writing. Catherine was deeply involved on campus, serving as President and Vice President of various clubs, a University Ambassador, and Executive Director of Springfest. She graduated with honors and successfully defended her research project on elder abuse in America.

Catherine then took two gap years to further her research on elder abuse, culminating in a TEDx talk that was published on the official TED website and cited in college courses. She worked full-time, first as a recruiter specifically for veterinarians and then as an executive assistant in a veterinary corporation, working closely with the Chief People Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. During this time, Catherine gained extensive experience in employment contracts, recruiting, and corporate veterinary medicine.

Catherine was accepted to Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine with a scholarship. She served as Secretary of the Pathology Club, Vice President of the Behavior Club, and as both an Accreditation Ambassador and University Ambassador for the vet college. She is currently completing the Purdue DEI certification for vet students. Catherine also works as a Team Lead for an entrepreneurship program with the ISU College of Business to further her interest in business management and consulting.

Previous employers have often hailed Catherine as a highly organized, efficient, and dedicated worker. Her task list creations and workflow timelines have been adopted company-wide. This passion led her to co-write and perform in the first play featuring an all-Asian-American cast at Northwestern, an accomplishment she holds dear. 

After graduating magna cum laude, Celestine returned to her hometown of Boston and worked as a scribe for a year at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution. There, she discovered and nurtured her interest in rheumatology, a passion that has continued to grow alongside her dedication to health disparities research and mental health advocacy.

Celestine's journey is marked by her consistent dedication to her passions and her ability to balance them with her academic responsibilities, including publishing several peer-reviewed journal articles. Her leadership roles at the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP), the Mount Sinai student-run free clinic, further demonstrate her commitment to serving her community.

At both institutions, Celyn actively participated in community service, mentorship, and research initiatives, receiving several accolades for her academic achievement and community impact. Her dedication to scientific research culminated in the completion of a senior honors thesis in chemistry, poster presentations, and publication in a peer-reviewed journal. After graduating, Celyn spent a year as a research fellow at the National Institute of Health.

Celyn's leadership and dedication to admissions work led to her invitation to serve as a voting member of the admissions committee during her final year of medical school, an honor extended to only 12 senior students in the class. In this role, she served as a primary student interviewer during the admissions cycle and reviewed, evaluated, and presented candidates at committee meetings. Before this, Celyn spent three years interviewing candidates and served as the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) admissions representative, leading dialogue between current and prospective URM students during interview day activities.

Cesilee began her academic journey at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she earned a BA in psychology and gained experience tutoring neurobiology. However, her desire to make a more direct impact on people's lives led her to pursue a career in nursing. She completed an accelerated BN program at East Carolina University in just 12 months. She furthered her expertise by earning a Master's in nursing education from East Carolina University. She has over four years of experience in critical care and emergency nursing, including a critical care nursing certification.

As a nursing educator, Cesilee has extensive experience mentoring students at all levels in both clinical and lecture settings. She is passionate about helping students learn the ins and outs of admission and develop the skills necessary to succeed in their future careers. For several years, she has filled roles such as Critical Care Registered Nurse, Clinical Instructor, and Emergency Room Nurse. Her supportive teaching style, combined with her ability to create personalized study plans and adapt to each student's learning preferences, makes her an exceptional mentor for aspiring nurses.

Chad was a QuestBridge Scholar who received his Bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania and completed both an MS in chemistry and an MS in immunology. His thesis research focused on developing CRISPR/Cas-based genome editing and screening technologies, an endeavor for which he was honored with a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual Fellowship (F31).

For four years, Chad worked for Penn Biotech Group (PBG) Healthcare Consulting, a student-run organization at UPenn. Throughout his tenure, he transitioned into multiple roles, including Project Director, Vice President of Business Development, and eventually President of the organization.

Dr. Charles began his academic journey in biomedical engineering at the illustrious Duke University, before earning his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. His academic excellence led to his induction into the Tau Beta Pi engineering honors society during his undergraduate years.

While pursuing his medical degree, Charles developed a keen interest in vascular biology, leading him to further explore this area through extensive research on the VEGFR2 receptor pathway. His valuable contribution was acknowledged with the prestigious Surgical Skills Award and the Eugene Stead Research Scholarship. Following his passion for vascular biology, he completed his residency training in Vascular Surgery at the University of Massachusetts.

Today, Charles applies his knowledge and skills in the New York City area, where he has built a successful career as a Vascular Surgeon. His dedication to his field, combined with his rigorous academic background, makes him an invaluable resource for aspiring medical students. Christina began her PA journey at the University of West Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in biology/biological sciences. Shortly after, she matriculated to the Christian Brothers University PA program, building on the foundation she laid in undergrad.

Her involvement in the admissions process extended to engaging in open dialogues with candidates, providing them with background knowledge about the program, and inquiring about their motivations for pursuing a PA career. This experience further improved her understanding of the admissions process from an institutional perspective.

During her undergraduate years at Virginia Tech, Danielle demonstrated her passion for research and mentorship. She worked in a laboratory for five years, conducting independent research that led to a publication. Her commitment to leadership and personal growth was evident in her role as the president of the school's Polo Club (horses) and her decision to study biological conservation in Sydney, Australia. 

After graduation, Danielle took a gap year to gain valuable experience before applying to vet school. During this time, she worked as an intern at an equine rehabilitation center and as a technician at a small animal emergency clinic. Her perseverance paid off when she was accepted to VMCVM.

Danielle continues to demonstrate her strong work ethic and dedication to her field. She works as a necropsy technician at VMCVM, a small animal emergency technician during breaks, and finds time to pursue her passion for running in her free time.

Danielle's greatest strength as a mentor is her ability to see the best in others and her genuine excitement when someone expresses an interest in pursuing veterinary medicine. Danielle is committed to making the vet school admissions journey as smooth as possible for students, helping them shine and stand out as individuals. At Harvard College, David earned his degree with a major in history of science and a minor in molecular and cellular biology. This background provided him with a holistic understanding of medicine, combining historical context with cutting-edge scientific knowledge. Before starting medical school, David worked as a health policy intern at New America, working on projects related to federal food assistance, the opioid crisis, and prescription drug pricing.

Beyond his academic achievements, David is an accomplished writer and poet. In 2015, he was honored as a National Student Poet, the highest recognition for youth poets in the United States. His creative work has found a place in prestigious medical journals such as JAMA and Palliative & Supportive Care, demonstrating his ability to bridge the gap between medicine and the humanities.

Currently, David serves as a Doximity Op-Med fellow, a role that allows him to share his work with the national medical community. David has counseled aspiring medical students for over four years. His approach is characterized by developing longitudinal and close relationships with students, focusing not only on their immediate goal of medical school admission but also on their future careers and personal aspirations. This comprehensive mentoring style has led to several students gaining acceptance to prestigious medical schools across the country.

One of David's greatest strengths lies in his exceptional writing skills. He takes pride in helping students find and nurture their voices through personal statements and essays. Recognizing that writing is often a challenge for many students, David views this as an opportunity to not only help them represent themselves effectively on paper but also to equip them with valuable skills applicable throughout medical school and their professional careers.

Additionally, Derek was admitted to NYU’s Accelerated Three-Year MD Pathway for Neurosurgery, allowing him to complete medical school in three years and offered direct progression into the NYU neurosurgery residency program. Historically, a maximum of one person is selected for this honor each year. 

Derek had a highly successful medical school admissions cycle, receiving 17 acceptances. Of these acceptances, 14 were part of the top 20 medical schools. He also received full cost-of-attendance merit scholarships and full-tuition merit scholarships at five and four of these top 20 schools, respectively. 

Prior to medical school, Derek attended Georgia Institute of Technology as a Stamps President’s Scholar, where he studied neuroscience and graduated with the highest honors. He conducted memory research at Georgia Tech and also pursued neurodegenerative disease research at the NIH, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

At NYU, Derek became President of the NYU Chapter of the Student National Medical Association, Co-President of the NYU Chapter of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Research Chair of NYU Mission Brain, and an emissary to the AAMC Organization of Student Representatives. 

Derek is now excited to translate the knowledge he has gained from his own highly successful admissions cycle and his experience in NYU Grossman admissions and interviewing to provide the best counseling possible. He is confident about guiding students through every aspect of the admissions cycle, including personal statements, secondary essays, activity descriptions, building school lists, preparing for interviews, exhibiting fit with a school’s mission, and more.

After passing the NCLEX in just 75 questions, Diamond started her nursing career at Penn Medicine, working as a critical care RN. She recently spent nearly two years in Spain supporting teachers in public primary and secondary schools through the Council on International Educational Exchange as an English language and cultural assistant. 

Diamond's passion for nursing and mentoring stems from her own experiences as a student. Throughout her nursing studies, she was proactive in seeking help when needed, regularly attending professors' office hours and working with a tutor. This firsthand experience as a tutoring recipient has instilled in her a deep appreciation for personalized guidance, fueling her eagerness to give back by sharing her knowledge with aspiring nurses.

As a counselor, Diamond's strengths lie in her diverse nursing experience and her ability to relate to students' challenges. Her five-year career spans various areas of nursing, including acute care rehab, intensive care unit, wound care consulting, occupational health, school nursing, and travel nursing. This breadth of experience allows her to provide tailored advice to students, helping them navigate the complexities of the nursing profession. She can also adapt quickly, multitask, communicate effectively and efficiently, and work well under pressure or when confronted with unfamiliar situations or circumstances.

Beyond her professional achievements, Diamond is a well-rounded individual with a passion for personal growth and community involvement. Despite commuting all four years of college, she actively participated in campus life, including the wind ensemble, jazz band, and marching band. 

As she continues to grow in her nursing career, Diamond remains dedicated to guiding and inspiring the next generation of nurses, helping them navigate their educational journey and prepare for the diverse opportunities within the profession.

Born in Zimbabwe, raised in China, and relocated to California at 10 years old, Diane's diverse background has instilled in her a strong passion for helping others and a unique perspective on the world. 

Her academic journey began at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in psychobiology. She was named one of five UCLA Seniors of the Year, recognizing her exceptional academic achievements and commitment to her community. Diane served as the Marketing Director and Mentorship Director of Collaboration in Undergraduate Research Enrichment (CURE) at UCLA During her tenure at UCLA’s Asian Pacific Health Corps, she served as Finance Director, Internal Director, and Programs Director. 

After graduating, Diane took a gap year to pursue anesthesiology research at Stanford University. This experience not only deepened her understanding of anesthesiology but also solidified her passion for medical research and education. Her current interests include health equity work, health policy and management, and health technology.

Diane chose to attend Yale School of Medicine for its approach to medical education, which allows students to design and take control of their own education. The Yale System gave her the freedom to pursue both her interests in medicine and hobbies, achieving an ideal work-life balance as a medical student.

As a consultant and mentor, Diane's goal is to help students get into the best school that is suitable for their personal goals and needs. She believes strongly in helping candidates express their individuality in their application and in real life while supporting them on their journey to becoming fantastic physicians.

Dorothy's academic journey began at Taipei American School in Taipei, Taiwan, where she completed her education from kindergarten through high school. She then pursued her passion for music at the University of California, Los Angeles, earning a BA in violin performance. However, inspired by a desire to make a more direct impact on people's lives, Dorothy made the bold decision to change careers and pursue nursing.

Dorothy graduated cum laude from California State University, Northridge with a BS in nursing. She received her initial training at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, laying a strong foundation for her nursing career.

Throughout her career, Dorothy has shown versatility and dedication. She worked at Garfield Medical Center in Monterey Park, where she voluntarily floated to the COVID unit during the pandemic. Her passion for education and mentorship is evident in her work teaching skills labs and precepting new graduate and transition RN residents at her hospital.

She actively contributes to the nursing community through her involvement with AORN Los Angeles Chapter, where she serves as the social media/marketing committee chair. This role reflects her interest in integrating technology with healthcare, a skill that is increasingly valuable in today's medical landscape.

Dorothy is driven by success, which she uses as her motivation for helping students achieve their goals. Her personal experience navigating the process of taking nursing prerequisites and applying to numerous nursing schools across the nation has given her insights that she now uses to mentor students interested in pursuing nursing. This firsthand knowledge of the application process, combined with her professional experience, makes her an exceptional guide for aspiring nurses.
