Apexa loves salsa dancing, spending time on the beaches of Los Angeles, traveling internationally, and hiking. She has a special place in her heart for national parks, dogs, and Mexican food. Cooking a delicious meal is her favorite way to destress after a long day at work.
Apexa's passion for sports medicine began in high school when she shadowed her school's athletic trainer. She earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training at the University of Georgia, gaining firsthand experience working with high-level student-athletes, many of whom went professional. During her gap year, she worked at a private clinic, developing and implementing exercise rehabilitation programs for patients.
Apexa pursued her master's degree to become a physician assistant and has been working in orthopedics and sports medicine ever since. She has experience in orthopedic surgery, treating athletes on the sidelines, and seeing patients in outpatient clinics. She has also worked at the largest multi-specialty orthopedic group in Georgia, a top nationally-ranked hospital system in Los Angeles, and a private practice.
Apexa's knowledge and passion for medicine, combined with her experience in education, make her an ideal admissions counselor for PA school. She has experience in various settings and subspecialties of orthopedics. She’s worked with a variety of different people, from NFL/Olympic-level athletes to the older population. Before her graduate studies, Cady made significant contributions to various fields. She completed a teaching Fulbright scholarship in Kedah, Malaysia, through the United States Department of State. Additionally, she worked for Partners in Health, a leading global health organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., while earning her bachelor's degree at George Washington University. She completed her training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and holds an additional Master of Health Science in health economics from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Cady completed her pre-PA school hours in emergency medicine as an EMT and Emergency Room Technician at a Level-One Trauma Center in Washington, D.C., during which time she also served as teaching assistant to George Washington University undergraduate students and research assistant to leading emergency medicine physicians and GWU School of Medicine faculty.
Cady attributes much of her success to the mentorship and guidance she received from her advisors, many of whom have decades of experience as PA school and medical school deans and professors. Her goal is to pay it forward by teaching a new generation of PA students.

Ari and her husband are avid travelers. They will often go on spur-of-the-moment trips to Europe or Fiji for the weekend. They recently took the world's longest flight from JFK to Singapore for their honeymoon, which was over 18 hours long! She enjoys being outside in the sun, hiking, CrossFit, and is a huge foodie.
Ari's educational journey began at Stetson University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in integrative health science. During this time, she also obtained her license as an EMT, which laid the foundation for her future healthcare career. After working as an EMT for three years, Ari pursued her passion for patient care by attending South College School of Physician Assistant Studies.
Since graduating from PA school, Ari has been working in the emergency room at Atlanta's level 1 trauma center, where she has gained invaluable experience in providing high-quality care to patients in critical situations. Her dedication to her profession and her commitment to lifelong learning have made her an integral part of the healthcare team.
In addition to her clinical work, Ari is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. Aryaman backpacked in Italy, Switzerland, and France during college!
Aryaman Gupta, BSE is a merit scholar medical student at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He graduated with departmental distinction and Summa Cum Laude from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. Aryaman worked as a bioengineer before coming to Johns Hopkins and continues to throughout medical school. He has co-founded 3 startup companies that focus on developing devices to fill technological gaps in interventional specialties.
Aryaman is an expert at carving a niche for applicants and highlighting their experiences to create a cohesive story. He has guided numerous students through the medical school application process and serves as an alumni interviewer for Duke. He has mentorship experience with students ranging from middle school to medical students. Outside of school, Aryaman loves his dog, dark chocolate Oreos (much superior to regular Oreos), watching sports, and grilling/baking.

Ashley loves cooking Indian food, enjoys yoga, and has a passion for senior dogs.
Before pursuing a career in medicine, Ashley worked as a school administrator and elementary school teacher for two years, teaching first and third grade. Her decision to become a Physician Assistant was inspired by a clinical mission trip to Kenya, where she witnessed healthcare disparities firsthand. Recognizing similar inequalities in America, she decided to pursue a career in medicine at the age of 30.
As a non-traditional student, Ashley started her medical journey with a post-baccalaureate premedical program to fulfill prerequisite courses before applying to PA school. She was accepted by several top PA schools across the states and ultimately chose to attend Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions with a merit scholarship.
During her second year in PA school, Ashley participated in various clinical rotations, gaining experience in multiple demographics and medical settings. She also actively mentored a first-year student, guiding her through PA school until graduation and assisting with the job application process. Additionally, Ashley has participated in clinical volunteer work abroad in South America and Africa, focusing on community health and working with underserved populations.

Asmaa graduated from Indiana University with two degrees in biology and international studies, with a focus on global health. After completing her undergraduate education, she worked on various research projects investigating the pathogenesis of Uterine Leiomyoma, gut-brain axis etiologies for obesity, and comparative differences of implicit bias in US and UK healthcare systems. These experiences nurtured her passion for mentoring students.
After graduating, Asmaa spent a year working as a medical associate at Roche Diagnostics and volunteering at Trinity Free Clinic in her hometown. While working on her master’s thesis, Asmaa focused on identifying admission rates, readmission rates, and risk factors for dermatology-related hospitalizations for those experiencing homelessness in the US. This research reflects her dedication to addressing health disparities and promoting health equity, further showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact in the field of medicine.

Auriel recently learned to speak French and now speaks at an intermediate level and often visits France.

While I am a home body at heart, I was fortunate to study abroad at the University of Glasgow, where I experienced my first cadaver lab and developed a training manual for a local community gym while exploring Scotland's eight cities. Needless to say, I was not in Colorado anymore!
Austin Johnson graduated from the University of Denver Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and minors in Leadership Studies, Medical Physics, Chemistry, and Psychology. He scored in the 99.9th percentile on the MCAT and utilized similar study strategies to achieve a 260+ USMLE Step 1 score. Austin is currently a medical student at the Stanford University School of Medicine pursuing a research year investigating novel topical treatments for Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex (EBS) and validating clinical severity scoring tools for future EBS interventional studies. His professional interests extend into health disparities and medical education both on campus and in the community.
Austin’s passion for mentorship has culminated in a diverse set of experiences ranging from intensive one-on-one sessions with prospective professional students to leading large group events designed to level the playing field in test-taking, research, and the admissions process as a member of the Leadership in Health Disparities and Stanford Clinical Summer Internship programs. As a future Dermatologist from a rural Colorado town with zero immediate or extended family members in healthcare, he is excited to guide the next generation of physician leaders in achieving their goals no matter their background. Ayush spends a good portion of his free time exercising and playing sports, including volleyball, rock climbing, and weightlifting. He also loves art and music and previously competed on a semi-professional dance team. He is a big foodie on the path to becoming an amateur chef!
Ayush graduated summa cum laude from Drexel University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and minors in Art History and Business Administration. At Drexel and Harvard Medical School, Ayush conducted a wide array of research initiatives, leading to various publications and academic conference presentations in molecular biology, ophthalmology, ENT, telemedicine, and AI. He also co-founded the New Jersey chapter of a COVID-19 response organization that fills gaps in healthcare infrastructure with healthcare student volunteers.
Ayush also served as a coordinator for the National Student Response Network, connecting over 300 returning healthcare student volunteers with their local NJ county public health departments, hospitals, and NGOs. Given these experiences, Ayush has a proven track record of success in helping a variety of applicants achieve high test scores and medical school admission. Benji has been an avid runner since the eighth grade, competing in track and cross country, joining the Texas Running Club in college, and founding the Southwestern Running Club in medical school. He has raced in both marathons and ultra-marathons during medical school, and he hopes to qualify for the Boston Marathon this upcoming season.
He also loves to read and write, a passion of his since before he can remember. Just like dessert after a filling meal, Benji always finds space to read for pleasure after a long day of lectures or medical textbooks. He is currently reading "Godfather" by Mario Puzo, "Call of the Wild" by Jack London, and "Caterpillar Dogs" by Tennessee Williams. In addition to medical note writing, Benji likes to create short stories, poems, and prose.
Finally, Benji loves winding down with either guitar or piano (or, if he's lucky, both!). He learned piano as a child but stopped playing in high school; the piano at the UT Southwestern Student Center inspired him to give it another try. He is more consistent with guitar, playing every day since he finished studying for the MCAT several years ago (one of the best and few self-gifts he's made). He's currently working on "Imagine" by The Beatles on piano and "Monsters" by James Blunt on guitar.

Bhargav and his dad are currently working on converting a camper van for their nature exploration trips.
Bhargav completed his Bachelor’s in neuroscience and anthropology in just three years at Washington University in St. Louis. After completing a gap year as a City Year AmeriCorps in Philadelphia, Bhargav attended the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he has been involved in various leadership, admissions, mentorship, and curriculum positions. He also worked as a cognitive skills peer tutor, a position offered to only the top 10% in the preclerkship class.
Bhargav is keenly interested in global health, as evidenced by his research project involving studying the effects of influenza burden on child development in Dhaka, a joint venture with the International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh. The results of this project are slated to be presented at a conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. In addition to his global health project, Bhargav has been involved in various research areas that have resulted in numerous publications.
Bhargav's future plans include attending an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship. His research interests lie in pharmacoepidemiology, health services sciences, and drug surveillance.

Brandon attended the University of Charleston in West Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in psychology while playing Division 1 Men's Volleyball. His outstanding academic and athletic performance led to his recognition as an Academic All-American. In his final year, Brandon's exceptional achievements were further acknowledged when he was hand-selected by the institution's president as the President's Outstanding Senior of the Year.
