During her time at UConn, Dr. Kalajian's outstanding achievements and leadership skills were recognized with numerous awards, including the Kohrman Award and the International College of Dentists Student Leadership Award. She was an active member of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) chapter, serving as both Vice President and President. Dr. Kalajian's dedication to her community was evident through her volunteer work at events such as Give Kids a Smile and her lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill on behalf of her patients and dental colleagues.

As the Class Representative, Dr. Kalajian acted as the liaison between pre-doctoral students and other local ASDA members. Her exceptional contributions were acknowledged with the ASDA District 1 New England Delegate of the Year award and the ASDA Award of Excellence. The Connecticut State Dental Association also presented her with the "Charles A. Vernale Award" for her community involvement and support of public health interests.

Following dental school, Dr. Kalajian completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. She currently works as an Associate General Dentist in a private practice just outside of Boston, MA, where she continues to hone her skills and provide high-quality care to her patients. Dr. Kalajian also remains an active member of several professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, the Armenian International Women's Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. She currently serves as the Editor for the Boston Dental District Society, further demonstrating her commitment to the field of dentistry.

Dr. Kalajian's tutoring experience spans from her high school years, where she mentored and guided many students through the college application process while helping them develop study and organizational skills. Emma's educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Florida, where she developed a strong foundation in the sciences. This background, combined with her well-rounded knowledge of the arts, has equipped her with the ability to explain challenging topics and identify areas of confusion for students.

Emma has firsthand experience navigating the DAT and dental school admissions process. This allows her to empathize with the challenges faced by applicants and offer insider information throughout their preparation. She understands the stress and uncertainty that often accompany the dental school application process, and she is committed to providing students with the guidance and reassurance they need to succeed.

As a tutor, Emma is known for her ability to simplify complex sections of the DAT into digestible parts. Ephraim completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, where he pursued neuroscience and African & African American Studies as a John B. Ervin Scholar and University Scholar in Medicine. During his time at WashU, Ephraim demonstrated leadership and commitment to service through various roles, including Interfaith fellow, president of the Minority Association of Premed Students, Alzheimer's researcher, and Resident Advisor. With a perfect MCAT score in the 100th percentile and he was accepted at all the medical schools he applied to, including UPenn, Columbia, Duke, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Yale, WashU, NYU, USF, and Northwestern, ultimately deciding to enroll at Harvard. 

At Harvard, Ephraim was co-president of the Student National Medical Association, demonstrating his continued dedication to leadership and community building. He looks forward to leveraging translational research and education to engage and benefit his local community.

Ephraim's passion for mentorship and education is evident in his extensive tutoring experience, which dates back to high school. He has served as a Peer Led Team Learning leader for General Chemistry and a TA for Physiology.

While at Georgetown, she worked on research projects in breast cancer, evolutionary medicine, and health disparities in Washington, DC. Her exceptional efforts earned her publications in the Journal of Evolutionary Medicine and Public Health and the American Journal of Pathology, as well as recognition from both the Biology and Spanish departments as a top graduating senior.

She also served as a teaching assistant for the biology department and led a student organization focused on health and medical equity while volunteering as a medical interpreter at a local free clinic. At the University of Chicago, she mentored new and prospective students as an admissions advocacy ambassador and teaching assistant for anatomy.

Haley is pursuing a DVM at Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine and is deeply interested in Feline Infectious Peritonitis. She is currently working with LIU’s virologist to develop genome maps and a diagnostic protocol. Haley also works as a veterinary technician in Connecticut and New York. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lasell University with a dual degree in Biological Science and Chemistry. 

While at LU, Haley held the position of President of Philanthropy in the Student Alumni Association, earning her the Summer Student Stipend Award. After graduation, she began her veterinary medicine journey at Orange Veterinary Hospital in Connecticut, where she served as a valued veterinary technician and, later, a student ambassador for United Veterinary Care. 

Haley's passion for animals has always been strong; she spent her childhood watching Steve Irwin and documenting local animals. Her love for people is just as strong, which is why she enjoys mentoring veterinary students. Haley scored in the highest percentile on her CASPer exam and has been dedicated to assisting students achieve similar success ever since. 

As a CASPer tutor, Haley passionately contends that the exam can be an enjoyable experience. She believes it provides a more accurate measure of an applicant's field readiness compared to traditional exams. Her tutoring approach is relaxed and personalized, viewing each study session as a chance to not only get closer to the student's target score, but to also acquire valuable life skills. Haley also enjoys a range of activities outside the veterinary world. She loves music, art, and gardening. She is a strong advocate for mental health awareness and enjoys taking care of her rescue animals. She is a proud pet mom to her Yorkshire Terrier, Chispita, and her Scottish Fold, Sasha.

Always passionate about dentistry, Hana began shadowing professionals and learning about the field during high school. She was among the five students accepted into the CU Denver BA/BS DDS Pipeline program. She has been tutoring since she became the president of the pre-dental club at the University of Colorado.

Key advice Hana gives to students when they are preparing for the DAT is to create correction notes to help them identify patterns in the mistakes they make and to enhance their understanding of the concepts. The process of creating correction notes involves writing down the question, followed by the answer, the thought process behind why the student selected the wrong answer, and an explanation of the correct answer. The reason why she emphasizes correction notes is because the DAT is a standardized exam, and all standardized exams follow patterns. By having students create correction notes, they can discern patterns in their mistakes and in the way the exam presents questions.

Herchel's journey to dental school is rooted in his upbringing in a small town in Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Demonstrating his exceptional academic abilities, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from UGA in just 2.5 years.

During his time at UGA, Herchel was involved in research projects that demonstrated his passion for advancing dental science. He researched S. mutans, exploring how nanoparticles can be used to inhibit the progression of dental caries. He also analyzed the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on various countries. After careful consideration of a pool of six options, he decided to pursue a dental degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.

Herchel's approach to tutoring is centered on empowering students to become the best applicants they can be. He works closely with each individual, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, and develops personalized study plans to help them achieve their goals. Following his graduation, Herchel had the opportunity to contribute to the construction of the second-largest Hindu Temple in the world, Akshardham, located in Robbinsville, NJ.
