Rachel's educational journey began with an associate degree in surgical technology and sterile processing, which sparked her interest in the physician assistant career. During her time as a PA student, Rachel held several notable positions, including class secretary and member of the A. William Horsley Physician Assistant Student Society. The PA program faculty also selected her to sit on the education committee. Additionally, she was awarded the Thomas R. Ramin's academic journey began at California State University, Fullerton, where he graduated with honors, double majoring in biology and music, and obtaining minors in chemistry and psychology. During his undergraduate studies, he was the recipient of 13 awards and scholarships, demonstrating his academic excellence.
Ramin's research experience is extensive, with a focus on copper metabolism, antibiotic resistance, and HIV therapeutics. He decided to pursue the DDS/PhD track at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to integrate his interests in both clinical and research domains. His PhD research focused on the genetics and genomics of head and neck cancers, seeking to understand the identity and function of chromosomal alterations that play a role in the evolution of tumor cells.
Throughout his academic and professional journey, Ramin has been recognized for his achievements. He was the recipient of an F30 Fellowship from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), UCSF's Moritz-Heyman Discovery Fellowship, and the prestigious Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) scholarship.
As a mentor, Ramin brings over 14 years of experience working with over 300 students of all ages and levels, from K-12 to post-baccalaureate, in topics such as biology, chemistry, and piano. He has coached numerous students for both college and professional school admissions.
Ramin's approach to mentoring is highly structured and comprehensive, with a strong track record of success with past students. He is well familiar with the admissions requirements of dental schools, having participated in interviewing prospective students at UCSF and having been accepted into several DDS/PhD programs across the country with a full-ride scholarship.

After graduating with her Bachelor's degree, Rita worked as a certified athletic trainer and medical assistant in both outpatient settings and area high schools, camps, and athletic tournaments. Ruchi is an MD/PhD candidate at the Yale School of Medicine. Ruchi is originally from Houston and graduated from Rice University with a degree in Chemistry with Distinction in Research and Creative Works. During her time at Rice, Ruchi was awarded several scholarships, research fellowships, and the highest recognition of undergraduate academic achievement by the Chemistry department. She served as the Editor in Chief of the Catalyst Undergraduate Research Journal, the President of Pancakes for Parkinson’s, and founded and led Rice’s chapter of the American Physician Scientists Association. She was actively involved in research at both McGovern Medical School and Rice University, and her work has culminated in multiple publications and poster presentations at national conferences.
Ruchi was accepted into many MD, 5 year MD, and MD/PhD programs, and ultimately was deciding between a full ride scholarship to UT Southwestern, a full ride scholarship to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner School of Medicine, or the Yale MSTP program. She chose Yale because of the flexibility afforded by the Yale System, the renowned immunology department, and the warmth and kindness of the student body and faculty. In medical school, Ruchi has led the Women in Medicine and Cancer Student Interest Groups and has worked for two years with the Yale Health Professions department as a personal statement reviewer and mock interviewer.
Working closely with dozens of students at all stages of the application cycle has given Ruchi significant insight into the medical school admissions process for both MD and MD/PhD applicants. Dr. Warner learned how to scuba dive in 2019! Since then, she's explored the seas of Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Turks and Caicos. Her favorite dive was through a field of moon jellyfish. In her opinion, scuba diving is the closest feeling to flying there is.
Dr. Warner graduated from Johns Hopkins with an MD and MPH in epidemiology/biostatistics before becoming a resident physician at the Johns Hopkins Osler Internal Medicine Training Program. Dr. Warner has sat on the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine admissions committee and has years of experience as a pre-medical advisor working with students who have gone on to top medical schools. Alongside his academic pursuits, Dr. Warburton co-founded Retina Technologies Inc., a startup valued at $12 million. As the former Chief Technology Officer, he led the development of a revolutionary approach to vision care. Dr. Podury is currently an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery resident at the University of California San Diego. Before beginning her residency, she earned a BA in neuroscience from Cornell University, where she was a Hunter R. Rawlings Presidential Research Scholar, Barry M. Goldwater Scholar Honorable Mention, and a Phi Beta Kappa member. She earned her MD from Harvard Medical School in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program.
During her time at Cornell, Dr. Podury earned several awards in recognition of her research, including the Einhorn Discovery Grant, the Zuckerman Prize for Excellence in Bioengineering Research, the Ewing Family Service Award, and the Menschell Cornell Commitment Award. While studying neural circuits, Archana worked at a syringe exchange in Ithaca, New York, where she witnessed firsthand the mechanics of court-based drug rehabilitation. Listening to patients’ stories deepened her conviction that science alone could not capture multiple dimensions of health and disease, which paved her path toward medicine.
At Harvard, Dr. Podury received $90,000 in scholarship support as a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow and David Margin Graduate Student Leadership Fellow; she was also a recipient of the Massachusetts Medical Society Information Technology Award and Freeberg Student Research Award. Dr. Podury worked in the Dhand Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to apply network science tools to understand how patients’ social environments influence their health outcomes during disability. However, a sports injury sustained during a study abroad trip in Oxford unexpectedly ignited his passion for medicine. Dr. Mellacheruvu graduated from the UW Honors College with a degree in biochemistry, setting the stage for his future in the medical field.
Choosing to stay close to home, Dr. Mellacheruvucompleted his medical education at Washington State University. During his clinical rotations, he developed a deep interest in cardiology, which would shape his future career aspirations.

After graduating, he spent a gap year at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD, as an NIH IRTA fellow, investigating the roles of vasopressin (AVP) and oxytocin (OXT) in the central nervous system using mouse models.

While at Johns Hopkins, she led the JHU Medical Ethics Discussion Panel and worked in a neurology and neurosurgery research lab. She then attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC and graduated with distinction in research. While at Mount Sinai, Dr. Kessler was the recipient of numerous awards, including a merit-based tuition scholarship for all four years of medical school.
While in medical school, Dr. Kessler founded the Special Forces Neurosurgery Collaborative with neurosurgeons from Mount Sinai, Cleveland Clinic, and the leadership of the US Green Beret Foundation, which is an organization that spearheads neurosurgery research initiatives geared towards addressing the unique healthcare needs of America's Special Forces warriors. After his successful swimming career, Dr. Llewellyn coached a high school swimming team to two state championships before moving to Washington, D.C., to work at the National Cancer Institute on an HIV vaccine. This experience sparked his interest in medical research and its potential to impact public health, leading him to join the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai MSTP, where he discovered his passion for medicine while living in NYC.
During his PhD, Dr. Llewellyn volunteered extensively at Icahn's student-run primary care clinic, which resonated with his research focus on the effects of diet on the gut microbiota and overall health.
