Dr. Kuo was born in Hong Kong and is half-Chinese, and half-Australian. She is passionate about interior design and is an avid home chef with dreams of being the next Masterchef!
While at vet school, Dr. Kuo held positions as a veterinary school radiology technician and was an on-campus pharmaceuticals representative for Fort Dodge and Boehringer-Ingelheim. She also pursued a conservation externship in South Africa and externed at various small animal private practices and specialty clinics throughout the Midwest. Dr. Kuo was also an active member of the veterinary professional fraternity, Omega Tau Sigma.
Dr. Kuo began her career as a veterinarian at a large, full-service walk-in hospital in downtown Chicago. After two years as an associate veterinarian, Dr. Kuo became the medical director, where she built out a veterinarian training program with a focus on new-graduate mentorship. Her leadership role gave her an understanding of the pitfalls and successes of operating a modern animal hospital in an urban setting.
Dr. Kuo co-founded a veterinary management company called GoodVets, where she acted as the Chief Medical Officer. The company challenged the practice “norm” and introduced a tech-centered business with a people-centric approach to the leadership team. There she established the core process and procedures of a successful franchise model that built the basis for repeatable action that the company is still successfully thriving on.
As a mentor, Dr. Kuo's greatest strength lies in her ability to draw from her diverse experiences and provide a well-rounded perspective on the veterinary profession. Throughout her career, she has worked in every position across a veterinary hospital and has always had a strong passion for teaching and mentorship. Dr. Ravi completed her medical training at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. Before her medical education, she earned an undergraduate degree in cognitive science from Rice University, where she gained a deep understanding of the rigors and demands of a pre-med curriculum at an elite institution. She held leadership roles in the Rice University Pre-Medical Society throughout her undergraduate career, with experience in hosting various sessions and workshops for pre-medical students and conducting mock interviews for applicants. Saisree also served as a senior interviewer on the admissions team at Rice.
In medical school, Dr. Ravi continued her interest in mentorship by being involved in the Big Sibling program, guiding incoming MS1 students through their first year of medical school, and also serving as a Research Liaison for students interested in neurology and neurosurgery. She has also published numerous publications in the fields of cancer nanotechnology, head and neck surgery, and interventional neurology and stroke.

Dr. Kafle once bungee jumped 228 meters off of a bridge spanning two cliffs. He enjoys various hobbies, including hiking, being outside, powerlifting, chess, playing guitar, and ink/digital art.
Originally from Nepal, Dr. Kafle has lived in many places, including Thailand, Switzerland, and five U.S. states. His diverse background has instilled in him a strong passion for global medicine and a unique perspective on the world.
Dr. Kafle’s academic journey began at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in neuroscience. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research in Drosophila olfaction and learning and developed a strong foundation in the sciences.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Kafle spent his gap year working and saving money to apply to medical school. He became an EMT and volunteered in a Las Vegas emergency department, gaining valuable hands-on experience in patient care.
While in medical school, Dr. Kafle conducted clinical research in the Department of Otolaryngology, examining outcomes in head and neck surgeries and craniofacial traumas. He also provides primary care to under-insured patients at HAVEN, a student-run free clinic on the weekends. He acted as a peer tutor for three years and was the Student Course Director of a surgery live-streaming elective and a head and neck ultrasound course.

Dr. Harshbarger attended Brown University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She then spent two years working full-time in clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital before attending medical school at the Duke University School of Medicine. While at Duke, she earned her MD and spent two years pursuing full-time studies at the Duke Fuqua School of Business, where she achieved Dean's List each semester to earn an MBA with a certificate in Health Sector Management and a concentration in Financial Statement Analysis. She graduated as the first doctor in her family and went on to match at her number one choice residency in Emergency Medicine at Harvard, where she now works as a senior resident physician in the Emergency Room.

Dr. Llewellyn graduated from Bringham Young University, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in sociology, and was a competitive swimmer at a Division 1 school. After his successful swimming career, Dr. Llewellyn coached a high school swimming team to two state championships before moving to Washington, D.C., to work at the National Cancer Institute on an HIV vaccine. This experience sparked his interest in medical research and its potential to impact public health, leading him to join the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai MSTP, where he discovered his passion for medicine while living in NYC.
During his PhD, Dr. Llewellyn volunteered extensively at Icahn's student-run primary care clinic, which resonated with his research focus on the effects of diet on the gut microbiota and overall health. This experience led him to pursue a career in family medicine, where he witnessed firsthand the direct impact of diet on health and the importance of primary care and prevention for improved health outcomes.
Dr. Llewellyn completed his residency at the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency, where he focused on research in primary care and practice transformations. As the chief resident in quality improvement and research, he led three practice transformation projects, demonstrating his leadership skills and commitment to improving healthcare delivery. At Oak Street Health, he is in their Clinical Fellowship for Value-Based Care Leadership, part of which is obtaining an MBA from Kellogg School of Management. Dr. McDaniel spent her high school years training a wild Mustang. She went on to ride this horse in a drill team that performed for thousands of people at the National Western Stock Show in Denver.
During her time at Colorado State University's DVM program, Dr. McDaniel's career goals underwent significant changes. While she initially focused on equine medicine, she developed a strong interest in small animal care and oncology through her work as a veterinary assistant at CSU's Flint Animal Cancer Center.
After exploring a variety of both small animal and equine opportunities throughout veterinary school, her love for horses and working outdoors ultimately determined her career path. This experience of having to navigate her own changing interests and ultimately finding her passion in equine ambulatory practice has inspired her to mentor students facing similar challenges. She encourages her students to explore all aspects of veterinary medicine that interest them and emphasizes that it's never too late to change course in pursuit of one's true calling.
After graduation, Dr. McDaniel jumped right into equine general practice and emergency care. Her days now consist of driving between farms, translating into a lot of time spent driving down the road.
