As the daughter of immigrants and the first person in her family to go to college, she found the medical school application process challenging and convoluted. Prior to PA school, Amanda gained extensive experience in emergency medical services and EMS education, laying a strong foundation for her future in emergency medicine. Her clinical experience spans various specialties, including occupational medicine/urgent care, rural medicine, outpatient cardiology, inpatient pediatric psychiatry, and COVID-19 clinical research.
After graduating from Tufts University School of Medicine’s PA program, Amanda pursued a Doctorate of Medical Science at Butler University. In Andrea's free time, she wishes she could have raised a cat that would hike through the beautiful span of Appalachia with her but has to settle with at-home cat cuddles at the end of long camping weekends.

During her gap year, she was the Hiring Manager for ScribeAmerica for seven varying medical specialties and managed and mentored 45 employees, most of whom were pre-med or pre-PA. As a pediatric neurosurgery PA transitioning to urology PA, she held several leadership roles in surgical safety research and child advocacy.
Andrea graduated as valedictorian from the Marietta College Physician Assistant program. During her time there, she was a member of the student government and presented Grand Rounds at various clinical rotations. She was also responsible for interviewing and providing tours to applicants.
