Dr. Issac loves cooking, traveling to new places, and experiencing new cultures. She is always looking for a new restaurant to try and a new recipe to experiment with!
Dr. Issac graduated from the University of Minnesota with a major in biology, society, and the environment and a minor in the history of science, technology, and medicine. Growing up, Dr. Issac was very passionate about helping others which translated into countless volunteer opportunities and experiences exposing her to different fields of healthcare. Dr. Issac ultimately decided to pursue a career in dentistry after attending a six-week program called the Summer Dental School Experience, where she did extensive research about oral health disparities under the assistant dean for admissions and diversity at the University of Minnesota.
During college, Dr. Issac worked as a pharmacy technician while continuously engaging in many extracurriculars, including serving on the pre-dental club board and volunteering at a local community dental clinic and her church. After graduation, she attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and was the youngest in her class.
In her last year of dental school, Dr. Issac was selected as a student ambassador. In this position, she gave tours of the school to applicants, conducted interviews, and aided the admissions committee in selecting applicants they wanted to offer an acceptance to. This was a very exciting role for her as she advised aspiring applicants with the knowledge of the reality of what dental school entails. Since then, Dr. Issac has had a passion for helping pre-dental students in their endeavor for professional school and mentoring them throughout school.
Dr. Isaac has experience mentoring and consulting students ever since her first year of dental school. She was very active in the pre-dental club at her university and knew many of the members who would often reach out to her for advice with applications, including personal statement editing and interview prep. In her final year of dental school, she served as a student ambassador where she led tours of the school, answered questions, and conducted interviews to assist with the admissions committee. Since graduating from dental school, she has assisted students both near and far with every aspect of the application process.

Dr. Garcia's personal interests include cats, plants, exercise, and travel. She also enjoys the ongoing challenge of preventing her cats from eating her plants.
Dr. Garcia’s journey began at a young age when she declared her aspiration to become a veterinarian to her first-grade class. She pursued her dream at the University of Missouri, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences with a minor in Captive Wild Animal Management. Demonstrating her deep commitment to her alma mater, she continued her education at the University of Missouri Veterinary School, where she honed her skills and knowledge in veterinary medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Garcia has gained extensive experience in various veterinary settings, including walk-in practices, small animal practices, and shelter medicine. As the medical director for a non-profit shelter, she specializes in wellness and prevention, high-volume spay and neuter surgery, and animal welfare. One of her greatest strengths is her approachability and transparency. She also has a knack for writing and precision.
Dr. Garcia's approach to veterinary medicine is characterized by her love for continuous learning, commitment to teaching others, and ability to find joy in her work. She has helped students get accepted into vet school long before her own vet school journey. Whether it's giving advice, words of encouragement, editing essays, or writing letters of recommendation, she’s guided numerous students to admission to their top programs.

Dr. Savson loves exploring trails across the Bay Area with his Shepherd mix and Border Collie dogs, cooking Greek food, watching fantastic and fantastically awful movies and shows, and crafting dumb jokes. He has been an avid guitar player for over 20 years, and his band has opened for Nine Inch Nails.
Dr. Savson's journey to becoming a veterinarian began with volunteering at small animal general practice and shelter facilities throughout high school. His interest in laboratory animal medicine was sparked during his undergraduate years at Grinnell College in Iowa, where he led projects at top institutions, including a neuroendocrine study in dragonflies at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute of theJanelia Farm Research Campus, and several entomology projects related to nutrient cycling at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
After completing his Bachelor's degree in biology at Grinnell College, Dr. Savson worked as a veterinary nurse for the Laboratory Animal Resource Center at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), gaining experience with a variety of species, including rodents, pigs, birds, ferrets, rabbits, non-human primates, and aquatic species.
Dr. Savson earned his veterinary degree from Oregon State University's Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. He was the only person in his class to secure a residency immediately following vet school, pursuing a three-year laboratory animal medicine residency at Cornell University. During his residency, he triaged and oversaw clinical care for a broad range of species used in teaching and research, and served on several committees, including selection committees for new residents and ASLAP summer fellows, as well as the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Book Committee, which he continues to serve on.
Dr. Savson's research and case studies have been presented at numerous state and national conferences, and he has been recognized with awards at the Annual National AALAS meeting. His work has been published in the peer-reviewed journal Comparative Medicine, as well as several non-peer-reviewed journals.
As a mentor, Dr. Savson brings his passion for laboratory animal medicine and his experience in mentorship to guide aspiring veterinary students through the application process. He has provided direct clinical and career mentorship to undergraduate and veterinary students, veterinary residents, and research staff interested in pursuing DVM, MS, or PhD programs.
Dr. Savson takes a tailored approach to mentorship, focusing on the individual's background and interests. Having received excellent mentorship in the past, he finds joy in paying it forward and helping prepare a new generation of professionals for a career in veterinary medicine.
